Grab-like app promises easier Laguna commute

DUE to the never-ending hassle brought on by traffic, the need to have an efficient transport system is at an all-time high. Recently, alternative transport services such as Grab and Uber have become popular among commuters, especially young professionals who need to travel within Metro Manila and avoid the stress caused by poor transportation.

However, these alternative transport companies are only limited to the Metro Manila area. How about the provinces? That thought inspired a couple of Laguna based entrepreneur to establish and develop a transport startup called GoLag. Established in 2016, GoLag aims to provide alternative transportation in Laguna province and, soon, other parts of the country. The startup envisioned itself as the better alternative.

At present, GoLag provides services from Santa Rosa City to other parts of Laguna but is also operational in Manila, Cavite, Rizal, and Bulacan. Judging from the reviews on its Facebook page, the company is generally well received by those who have tried its its service. So far, GoLag caters to at least 50 clients a day. Interested drivers are required to attend seminars hosted by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board and will have to apply for accreditation.

To avail of GoLag’s services, one must download the app from the Apple app store for iOS users and from Google Play for Android users. For more information, visit GoLag on Facebook or email them at inquiry@golagph.com. (Leobel Colona / Lifestyle Laguna)
